There is no single perspective; there

are perspectives. The Dutch design studio Metahaven has stated: “If the surface is a kind of place or site,

the designer is its geographer.” A surface, for instance, a blank sheet of paper, is the starting point of value.

What a designer brings to it, creatively, aesthetically, produces a price. The

value of that same piece of paper

can increase exponentially. In my practice, I challenge the customary understanding and implications of

what a poster is, of what a publication

is two common mediums for a graphic designer. I incorporate manifold perspectives in a single work by fusing, for example, interactive design—the literal engagement and participation

of the viewer—and tactility, e.g.

printing on uncommon materials, in order that not only I but my viewer is its geographer.
